From blacksmiths to storage
R Tincknell & Son was founded in 1925 by our great-grandfather, Robert Tincknell, as a general blacksmith and ironmongery company. Now owned and run by Robert's great-grandchildren, Robert and Diana, the business has evolved from agricultural machinery dealers into a thriving retail and property business.
Tincknell Property operates from our head office in Wells with a range of commercial and residential properties and development sites. We also offer self storage facilities in Wells, Clanfield and Exeter, providing for both business and personal use. Storage Factory opened its first site in Exeter in 2015, offering 24-hour gated access to its storage containers and CCTV for added peace of mind. After the initial success in Exeter, we opened a second site in Salisbury in 2017, offering indoor storage with CCTV and 24-hour access.
